Privacy Policy

The short version

MagPie is run by Austad Endeavors LLC, of Benton, Arkansas, USA, which is responsible for your information. We collect what we need to run MagPie, use it only for that, and don't sell it. This policy explains the details.

What we collect

• Account details: your name, email address, profile picture and password, which is stored only as a hash. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and picture from Google.
• Organization data: the organizations and teams you belong to, your role and permissions, and images and other content you upload.
• Invites: the email address of anyone invited to an organization, so we can send the invite.
• Billing details: your subscription, plan and payment status. Card details go straight to Stripe and never reach our servers.
• Technical data: your IP address and browser, kept with your sign-in sessions, and details of errors and performance when something goes wrong.
• Agreements: which versions of our terms and this policy you accepted, and when.

How we use it

We use this information to provide the Service, keep accounts and organizations secure, take payments, send the email the Service depends on, fix problems, and meet legal obligations. We rely on our contract with you, our legitimate interest in running a secure and reliable product, and legal requirements. We don't send marketing email or use your data for advertising.

Who we share it with

Other members of your organization can see your name, email address and picture. Beyond that, we share data only with the providers below, who process it for us, and when the law requires it.

• Stripe: Taking payments and managing subscriptions
• Vercel: Hosting the website and services
• Supabase: Database and file storage
• Resend: Sending email, such as verification and invites
• Sentry: Error reports and performance monitoring
• Google: Sign-in, if you choose to use it

These providers may process data in the United States and other countries.

Cookies

We use cookies to keep you signed in. We don't use advertising cookies or third-party analytics trackers, so there's nothing to opt out of.

How long we keep it

We keep your information while your account exists. When you delete your account, your sign-in details are deleted, your profile and your details in our event logs are cleared, and the organizations you own are deleted. We keep an anonymous record that links your past activity, and your agreement history. We keep billing records for as long as tax and accounting rules require.

Your choices and rights

You can change your name and picture and delete your account from your settings. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to access, correct, export or erase your data, or to object to how we use it. Email support@magpieos.app and we'll help. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Security

We encrypt data in transit, keep each organization's data separate, and limit who and what can reach it. No system is perfectly secure, but if a breach affects you, we'll tell you as the law requires.

Children

MagPie is for people aged 18 and over, and we don't knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy, we'll update the date above and ask you to accept the new version before you carry on using MagPie.
